The Updated 2009 3-Series Has Arrived!
Few vehicles have ever enjoyed the long-running success of BMW’s 3-series. The reason for that is simple: few vehicles have ever enjoyed the attention that BMW lavishes on these cars to make them the finest sport-luxury compact sedans ever built. Whether it’s the brilliant combination of performance and efficiency, the innovative driving features, the luxury appointments, or the overall sporting capabilities of the 3-series, these cars have been the gold standard in the compact sport-luxury class for close to two decades. And BMW isn’t about to lose that focus. For 2009, the 328i and 328xi Sedan and Wagon as well as the 335i and 335xi Sedans keep the same award winning engines, but all receive a round of alterations, designed to maintain BMW’s position as the standard-setter in the class. The 3-series appearance changes in the way of new exterior color choices, new wheels, and a distinctive freshening of the outside. On the interior, new upholstery colors and trim options join other subtle equipment upgrades. New package contents include a heated steering wheel for the Cold Weather Package, and Park Distance Control adds front sensors on the sedan and wagon. In addition, the available Navigation System receives a new 2nd-generation iDrive System, which takes the user-friendliness to a whole new level. Rounding off this substantial lifecycle upgrade, the introduction of the 335d this December heralds BMW’s first Diesel offering in more than 20 years. Exemplifying exactly the same Efficient Dynamics philosophy as its gasoline stable mates, the Twin Turbo 335d combines stellar performance with superlative fuel, economy.
