Introducing the New 2007 BMW X5 - September 2006

In addition to having a sleeker silhouette, the new X5 also features a more aggressive “face” and exceptional body and chassis rigidity. The vehicle also comes standard with run-flat tires, so that even with a punctured tire, you can confidently travel up to 90 miles and at speeds of up to 50 mph. A new brake-optimization feature has been added as well: Brake Drying is a feature in which the vehicle will detect moisture and bring the rotors into contact with the brake pads in order to dry them more efficiently, making your driving experience even safer.
As with any BMW, there are many additional features that are offered. At no extra cost, the new X5 will have BMW Ultimate Service, an exciting new collection of protective and maintenance services. The vehicle also features large, tinted side-view mirrors that will offer superb all-around visibility. Parallel parking is made easier than ever before, thanks to the right-side mirror which automatically tilts down when in reverse.
Finally, the X5 will have two incredible new engines that will make this SUV stand out from all the rest: a 350-horsepower V-8 and a 260-horsepower inline six. Like their predecessors, both engines deliver more horsepower, but the new engines also provide greater fuel efficiency. Both new models also feature the 6-speed STEPTRONIC automatic transmission with new E-shift technology. Changing gears will be smoother and quicker- thus making your X5 driving experience even more enjoyable.
