The BMW Motorsport name has been synonymous with world class racing since the late 70's. From the mid 1970's to mid 1980's, U.S. BMW enthusiasts were both elated and frustrated by the existence of European market-only high performance BMW's. You could read about them, but unless you lived in Europe, you couldn't touch one. It wasn't until 1987 that BMW decided to bring its first Motorsport vehicles to the USA. It is now possible to walk into Circle BMW and go home with a new M3, M5, or M6! At the time, the 1988 M5 was the fastest 4 door production car on the planet, capable of 150 mph while comfortably seating 4. The first US bound M5 was available only with a black exterior combined with a natural tan leather interior. Only 29 were built with black interiors.

I have been driving BMWs since the day I got my driver's license. I acquired my first BMW, a 1984 European spec 520i, at the age of 17. At the time, I had been going to school and living in Greece. It was a wonderful car and treated me very well. After graduation and upon arrival back in the states, I needed a car. BMW was the only way to go. That old 520i had inspired me so much, that I went to pursue a career in the automotive industry. In 1993 I began working for a high end leasing company with ties to a BMW store. Still interested in the older body style of my 520i, I purchased a 1988 535is. It was much more powerful than the old 520i. This car had all the goodies: 10 way power leather sport seats, Limited Slip Differential, AC and Sunroof. In the spring of 1997 I purchased my first true Motorsport car, a 1988 E28 M5, and this car really pushed the envelope. Keep in mind; it was a 10 year old car at this point and still had plenty of power to keep up with even the most modern sports cars on the road. It was around this time that I got involved with BMW Motorsport and BMW Driving School Events. In 1997 I attended my first high performance driving school at Lime Rock Park in Lakeville, CT. I was able to take my own M5 on a track where legends were born. This was the beginning of something good. In January of 2006 I joined Circle BMW and brought with me a full toolbox of BMW Motorsport knowledge. I still drive the 1988 BMW M5 (1 of the 29 aforementioned with black interiors). Other cars in the stable include a 2001 Carbon Black M5, a track prepped 1988 M3 and a 2007 X3 3.0si. I currently participate in nationwide high performance track events with various groups, BMW CCA Driver's schools and autocrosses, and teach for the nationally acclaimed "Teen Street Survival" courses sponsored by the National Chapter of the BMW Car Club of America.

For 2008, Circle BMW is proud to offer the complete line of BMW Motorsport vehicles. The "M" lineup includes both the 500HP M5 sedans and the M6 Coupes and convertibles. Other models in the lineup include the Motorsport variations of the Z4 coupes and convertibles. Coming soon to Circle BMW is the 4th generation M3, which will be powered by a potent 414HP Motorsport built 8-Cylinder. This is going to be the first time BMW has installed an 8 cylinder power plant into the 3 series chassis for production use. Circle BMW is committed to providing dedicated attention and care to your Motorsport vehicle. We offer performance and maintenance options not commonly offered at most dealers.

Please feel free to contact by phone or email me regarding any BMW Motorsport service, maintenance, repairs, questions, upcoming events, or even new product. I will be more than happy to assist.
